Payment for participation in Impossible Project
The information on this page is a guide to help you understand and navigate UB's systems. Do not take anything here as official UB policy, nor as a commitment from UB or from Dr. Proctor.
Participant support payments are sent by check to your home address.
Paperwork
You will need to complete several forms and upload them to this UB Box Drive link.
- Complete the SUNY RF Academic Support/Participation Stipend.
Instructions:
- Complete the Administrative data section, but do not add a social security number. You can skip any questions you do not understand (e.g. check distribution code)
- Declaration: Sign and date.
- If you are a US citizen or a resident alien:
- Complete form W9.
- You are not subject to tax witholding
- If you are being paid over $600, you will receive a 1099 form.
- Otherwise (If you are not a US citizen or resident alien):
- Complete form W8BEN
- Your payment is subject to 30% tax withholding.
