Story 12
so I'm gonna share with you one story like it's when I was in my home country Bangladesh so I think I was in sixth grade or fifth grade I can't actually remember the time like great I think sixth grade actually yeah and I always want a phone like my own I always use my parents phone but I want my own right because my friend have also phone so she have a lot fun I see and that but actually I'm gonna go there sorry so my parents actually don't want to give me phone because they think like if I get phone in that age I'll probably will be doing bad in my school like always so they actually didn't give me a phone that time but I was like okay it's fine and then in 2022 I moved to USA and the situation was actually hard for us because we don't speak that much English I'm still I don't speak English that much and there that time my parents get to give me a cell phone because they feel like it's hard to hard for a student or people who from like another country to like troubling a different country without a cell phone yeah so I get my phone and actually after two months I broke it oh what phone was it it's a Samsung I don't like that Samsung it's just a pretty good you don't remember what model it was I think it was galaxy something was it was it the newest model at the time yeah oh that's rough it was actually accident because I get my like first work in do you know me or summer youth I never heard of it it's a program like in summer high school student get work if they want it's for summer school job so I get the work and I came from the work so I talked to my friend and I literally just drop it and it's broke yeah that sucks Samsung's aren't the best when it comes to durability yeah anyways and then actually I use a lot app like translate for translation also like for bus time like transit the apps call I think transit yeah so it was good but after that I learned a lot of stuff in phone like it's changed my life like cell phone I actually get a lot like improved in cell phone like my English also other stuff yeah yeah I think um do you have any question yeah um after they saw like your parents right because they were initially skeptical right they thought you would once you had your phone you wouldn't do well in school because maybe you like distracted right like talking to friends playing games maybe how did they feel after you think they found out that you were fine with it they after that they think like I'm actually getting better yeah yeah that's good that's good I actually can't control myself in cell phone like it's just the thing right yeah I is I don't have to put myself into it yeah I can literally just do other stuff so were there any times you were attempted to like you know get distracted or like have you have times in the summertime really okay that's fair there's you don't have school so yeah you know is there any other things that you said that it helps you with your English like translation getting around with it is like pretty useful have you used it to make new friends and yeah I make a lot friend in Instagram mm-hmm they're from like all around the world like nice some people are from court I mean not Korea I don't know sorry Ukraine Ukraine and you will sit to like I make a lot friend in USA it's actually not from cell phone like in but you hope it helps connect them yeah got it that's pretty cool yeah um I feel like you can answer this now by yourself like how does it connect to the cell phone policy or what what do you want them to hear then how like how they would write the personal policy based on your story I think the school policy like people who wrote this policy like the principal they should you let the student use the cell phone during the class sometime when they need to translate because not all the people who are here not speaking in not I'm sorry not they're not fluent in English yeah so they should give them a chance to use cell phone I think that's a good point yeah and it's very useful tool especially in schools like especially international school this is international international school right so now everyone speaks English so I think it's really useful to have that tool like on standby like ready at all times to help you know communicate like bridge gaps that other people may not able to do without the cell phone and like translation like apps you know so yeah I think that's a very good point you know also sometime I think they should let student to take skin shot in the boat screenshots like what do you mean screenshots I mean oh my bad not skin shot like take a picture of like you know when they write assignment oh like you didn't get to time to write and finish it so funny um I don't think that's a good idea actually because in college it trust me like you don't have to write the perfect notes like in my in my experience it's always better to write the notes then to like capture everything it says on the boards because just to hit the thing of writing like by hand helps a lot even if you don't get everything because you could have friends right like you talk to friends and they can show you like the notes I think it's just best to like just write as much as you can like what you see on the board because that helps with the memorization a lot more than you know just taking a picture and reading it later so I mean I guess it could be useful in that way but I wouldn't rely on it personally thank you for saying that yeah I'll take that all right is there anything else or nope thank you thank you for sharing
